It is crucial to know the true identity of the baby Jesus. In this message we learn that Jesus came not only to rescue us from sin, but he paid the ransom with his own blood. This message is a part of the Christmas series, The Born Identity. Doug Vernon delivered this talk on December 21, 2008.

Though Jesus came to earth as a baby, He was still fully divine. Yet his humanity allowed Him to experience the frustrations, temptations, and limitations we face every day. He understands the issues that we face and has the power to work in the midst of our lives. Doug continues our series from Galatians 4:4-7 as we unlock the phrase, “God sent His Son, born of a woman.”

Do you struggle with waiting on the plan and timing of God? As we study the Christmas story from Galatians 4:4-7, the first lesson we learn is … just as the timing of Jesus coming to this earth wasn’t an accident, so God’s work in your life is not by accident, but by divine guidance! This message is the first in the series, The Born Identity, by Doug Vernon on December 7, 2008.

Tough question … not one that I like to think about. After a sermon that became a dividing line in His ministry, Jesus directs this question to His 12 Apostles. What causes people to “turn back and no longer follow Jesus?” Not a question for the faint of heart. Listen as Doug opens to John 6.
