We are continuing our journey as we Follow Jesus. He gave the invitation to “Follow Me” but what does that look like? This series helps us discover what following Jesus is like. On February 7, 2010, Doug shared the third mark of a maturing disciple: A follower of Jesus lives selflessly. We looked at the example of Jesus from John 13:1-17, when he washed the feet of his disciples. We also looked at Philippians 2:1-5, and Romans 12:9-21. What is a selfless act that God is leading you to take?

We continue our discovery of what a follower of Jesus looks like. Mark #2 of a maturing disciple is they unconditionally trust God. We demonstrate our trust in God by saying “yes” to His will. We look at Luke 9:57-62 as Jesus reveals His view of a disciple. Doug shared this message on January 31, 2010 at Wildwood Christian Church

What does a follower of Jesus look like? What do they act like? Doug begins a message series to delve into this question. This series actually started with the message from January 10, 2010, so if you haven’t listened to that message, download it.
We opened to Philippians 3:7-14, and discovered this deep desire in Paul to “know Christ.” Imagine what it would be like to have a relationship with Jesus in which we would sit across the kitchen table to discuss anything? That is the type of relationship that Jesus desires. Listen as Doug challenges us to take this lesson to heart.

What does it take to become a “better” Christian? Too often our response is a check list of the do’s and don’t we have been taught over the years. That is fine, but falls far short of the meaning behind the invitation of Jesus to “follow Me.” What does it look like to be a disciple of Jesus? Doug shares the vision for WCC for this year and beyond in this message. This is the year when we take a serious look at what it means to be a follower of Jesus. The text for this message is found in Luke 5:1-11, and Matthew 4:18-22. Doug Vernon shared this message on January 10, 2010, at Wildwood Christian Church.

In this message we look at the angels visit to Joseph and learn this important truth – when perplexing circumstances occur, fear not because God will lead you. Joseph is the forgotten man of Christmas, but is a great example of faithful obedience. His obedience opened the door for our salvation! Our text is Matthew 1:18-25.
